Abstract
The biotechnology industry continues to evolve and grow. As we move toward a globalization model, it is critical for organizations to leverage the global knowledge pool. The growth of the industry in developing world countries, especially India has resulted in organizations leveraging the intellectual capital and favorable economics outside the United States. However, to effectively manage a globally diverse workforce an organization must develop a solid and effective management strategy that can support the challenges that arise. This case study looks at how an organization should evaluate the overall effectiveness of their global operation; determine the total economic viability, and key action steps for implementing the recommended changes in the structure of their operations.
