Abstract
This thesis is a sharing of a personal journey with depression with a focus on the culture that played an important role on forming my experience. Using an autoethnographical methodology, I share and explore my life-long journey with depression. I am hoping that all who have been challenged by mental health issues of any sort will find a way to talk about their challenges and find ways to handle them. I hope that one day we can all talk about our experiences freely, as I do not think that anything is worse than what we have been through.
