Abstract
The purpose of this project was to document the activity of museum Rights and Reproductions services with respect to reproduction in CD-ROM format. While it was hoped that any museum interested in reproducing its images in digital media format would find this project helpful, this report was written with modern and contemporary art museums in mind. Specifically, this project: Assessed museums' current level of participation in CD-ROM projects. Documented museum strategies for preventing unauthorized use and for determining reproduction fees for projects in CD-ROM format. Incorporated strategies for preventing unauthorized use and for determining reproduction fees into a report that documented museums' progress in the area of reproduction in CD-ROM format.
