dc.description.abstractClassroom management interventions were implemented in a middle school resource room over a 6-week period. Of 32 students, 12 opted out of participating, which left 20 participants total. The goal was to implement classroom management interventions that would reduce undesired student behaviors that interfered with instructional time. Classroom management interventions included a teacher greeting at the classroom door followed up with a student answered expectation reminder, weekly scheduled expectation reminders, and a consistent reward system. Undesired target behavior included: use of phones, verbal interruptions, misuse of Chromebooks, wandering around, unprepared for class, off-task, and leaving the classroom without permission. Baseline data showed constant displays of undesired classroom behaviors. After six weeks data analysis showed a decrease in undesired behaviors.
