Abstract
Hundreds of articles have been written both in the popular press and in academic journals documenting the advances made by women in the workplace. This study will explore the socialization practices, demographic factors and behavioral styles that contribute to a woman's success in the business environment. In addition, this study will utilize the personality trait model and instrumenta:ion (Personal Profile System) devised by Geier (1979) that provides reliable data on personality and bchavioral tendencies. I would like to understand how personality and behavioral styles impact career development for women. This may help to identify f cerain persoTlality traits are seen in more successful women.
