Abstract

This paper explores how lifestyle factors, including nutrition, movement, and stress, contribute to systemic inflammation and presents a model for lowering inflammation. Inflammation is far more prevalent than most realize, and it acts as a key factor in many disease states and chronic conditions, such as allergies, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. Diet is often the focus of anti-inflammatory programs. This paper presents a model that holds therapeutic nourishment, gentle movement, and stress management as the cornerstones for quelling inflammation and seeks to empower individuals to be proactive in their health. An anti-inflammatory diet and yoga therapy are utilized in this whole-body approach.
