D is highly prevalent within school aged children, presenting numerous challenges to these individuals. The purpose of this research is to inform school educators of these challenges while exploring possible support interventions. The findings of the literature review indicate that students with ADHD experience academic and social difficulties which is why specific skills and strategies must be utilized to support children with ADHD in school settings. All educators and staff need to receive focused in-service and education in order to understand the way ADHD presents itself within children and research-based intervention strategies.
