Abstract
The purpose of this project is to help museums develop waste reduction programs that encourage accountability and stewardship. Issues of why a museum should reduce waste and how the museum can reduce waste will be described in a waste reduction handbook. Following an explanation of office recycling options and procedures, museums will be able to reduce the amount of waste discarded while saving the financial resources of the institution and the natural resources of the Earth.
