Then arrests statistics for, and the differences between, the types of crimes committed by men and women are addressed. The next section concerns the psychosocial and biological views of women held by society. This is followed by a discussion of how these societal views have affected the treatment of women by the criminal justice system. Finally, several famous cases of female criminals, which exemplify the issues of female criminality, are presented, followed by the conclusion.
