Abstract
The work consists of a body of ten--nixed media paintings and sculptures created to acknowledge tne narrative stories of ten Biblical women. Each of the stcr.es was chosen because they were abcu: abuse, and each contains reference to roots of abuse continuing even today, both Ln my own life, and in the lives of women I cherish. The work was shown at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, surrounding the Baptismal font. Special lighting highlightea the work within the cathederal. Additional lig-iting focused words off accusation across the stone floor, using metal stencils as a gobo.
It is intended, that discussion arising from the experience of the viewer will contribute to a naming of unacknowledged sources of abuse within the Judeo-Christian tradition, so that healing of this abuse may begin.
