Abstract
"Internal Traffic" consists of five sculptures, all of which use the boat as a metaphor, as a symbol of inner travel and change. All the works evoke a feeling of movement, or possible movement as if one is looking at them in a brief moment when they happen to be still.
Each piece makes its own statement, and at the same time, it also takes part in a dialogue with the other works, out of which a group identity is created.
This body of work reflects fragments of a year in my life: a year's search for and exploration of self, expressed through form and material. Though the work is personal, it deals with issues that are universal, and only by passing through the eyes and the mind of the viewer can the works reveal the full spectrum of their identity.
