Abstract

The Test Information Management Environment (TIME) provides a full suite of secure, Webbased test development, execution, analysis-over-time and reporting services to ensure solutions are compliant with identified requirements and specifications and remain so, over time. TIME’s services are supported by a data warehouse, which provides a means to retrieve and analyze data, to extract, transform and load data, and to manage a system’s data dictionary. The data dictionary provides information about the data in the database (or metadata) and includes critical information such as meaning, relationships to other data, origin, usage, and format. TIME will be used in a new communications system, covering a vast service is with multiple communications towers and facilities. The Client’s system employs hundreds of remote transceiver sites, known as fixed facilities, designed to provide broad area communications support coverage. The Test Information Management Environment (TIME) test and analysis system will reduce cost and time significantly by utilizing current Data Base/Data Warehousing technologies. It is anticipated that time and cost can be cut by more than seventy-five percent.
