Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to explore three models of coaching from an Integral lens using a first-, second- and third-person approach. This is employed using Integral Methodological Pluralism which includes the methodological families of phenomenology, structuralism, hermeneutics, ethnomethodology, autopoiesis theory, empiricism, social autopoiesis theory and systems theory. These methodological families represent the inside and outside perspectives the four quadrants of Integral Theory. This thesis is an evaluation, using questions from each of the above methodologies to provide a practical understanding of how Integral Mathematics of Perspectives might be used to investigate perspectives in the field of coaching, though the method for doing so may be applied to any field.
