How do we provide health education in a way that addresses our current healthcare crisis and our need for meaning and more connection? What are the core components of a model of health education that is balanced, centered, and holistic? The Whole Health Integrated into Real Life (WHIRL) approach to health education begins to answer these questions. This paper
examines the underlying values of the WHIRL model, defines its principles and the methods used, and ultimately presents an example of WHIRL in action.
