Abstract
This project focused on how Latino ethnic-specific museums in the U.S. with permanent Latino collections can create effective partnerships with Latino families living in urban centers. The purpose of this study was to develop a set of criteria and guidelines for museum educators to use as a guide for starting these partnerships. This resource guide discusses and outlines prioritized criteria for developing partnerships with urban Latino families supported by case study examples. The resource guide also identifies and examines urban Latino families' characteristics, interests, needs, preferred modes of interaction, leisure time use, and museum preferences.
