Abstract
A primary aspect of organizational health is employee engagement, yet the cost of disengaged employees in Corporate America to the U.S. economy was last estimated at a staggering $400+ billion annually (Gallup, 2006). While there have been multiple programs attempting to address this, too many were limited in their scope or poorly followed up on, giving rise to the expression "Flavor of the Month" in regard to the latest seminar from management. What then is missing in keeping people more engaged at work? The approach offered herein comes from completing a Master of Arts in Holistic Health Education and contains specific practical suggestions for both employers and employees to promote Actualized Engagement. Please note most of the ideas contained within have zero associated costs.
