Abstract

Strategic management is an ongoing process of monitoring and revising models. For museums to maintain services into the twenty-first century it is critical that strategic management, paired with strategic leadership be integrated into every facet of the museum's operation. It is through the continual, proactive, progressive revision management of the museum that the Field Museum, and organizations like it, will be able to maintain financial stability in the changing global market.
