Abstract

The purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine whether a relationship exists between emotional intelligence and turnover intention among nephrology direct patient care providers in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Job Demands–Resources framework served as the theoretical foundation for the study, providing a lens through which to examine emotional intelligence as a personal resource within demanding healthcare environments.
